Exceeding expectations 

Nigel Greaves was born in Berkshire in 1948. Son, Grandson and Great grandson of teachers of music and the arts. Nigel studied at the Eastbourne College of Art and Design for three years in the sixties. In his early years he studied the masters but time and experience led him to new ideas with a fresh dynamic use of colour and texture to seek creativity that could be treasured. Nigel was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 1994. His works are in public and private collections worldwide.

Nigel Greaves took early retirement in 2008 after 45 years of service and finally as the Divisional Director of Johnston Press Plc who bought his local newspaper company in 1992. During his long publishing career he was the President of the Industrial Association, Chairman of Eastbourne's Marketing Group, a Director of Eastbourne's Business Partnership, a Director of Eastbourne's Enterprise Partnership and a Director of The Sunshine Coast Ltd. Nigel was also a Governor at Park College and a former President of the Rotary Club of Eastbourne.

In his early years at art college he had little choice but to study the masters. Time and experience gradually led him to a world of new ideas with a fresh approach to the scientific use and chemistry of mixing colour from high quality pigments in order to seek exciting creativity that could be appreciated for many years to come and... to exceed the expectations.
